Journal Entry 13

 This week we read some articles as well as watched some videos. The articles we read were: an attitude of gratitude, identifying and exploiting the right entrepreneurial activity for you, and recognizing and shaping opportunities. The videos we watched were: Paths to an entrepreneurial career, avoid the wrong job, and acton hero larry north.

I loved watching the avoid the wrong job video. It gave me a lot of insight into what we need to look for when job searching as well as in the interview. There are so many jobs I’ve had where I hate it and that’s normal if you’re just trying to pay the bills but there are times when it was so bad I should’ve left and I didn’t and could’ve avoided the whole situation if I had read this article before hand.

I also really liked watching the paths to entrepreneurial career video because it showed me kinda how to get to where I want to go. Before taking this class I truly had no idea how to get started in this world, I just new I wanted to be apart of it. But this class has given me so much insight and direction for when and before I start my business.

I have been doing a lot of reflecting and researching as to what I want to do this year to be on the right path to start a business in the future and i’m getting really excited. So at the end of this semester i’m getting married and after that we are moving to south carolina to do summer sales. While my husband does that I was trying to figure out what I should do to bring in some money as well. I decided that flipping furniture would be a good start to eventually going into remodeling and flipping houses.
